We had a great time on our trip to the UK in September of 2022. It was an opportunity for us, as overseas property investors, to meet and connect with our power team members and Louise, one of our employees.  

We were excited to be able to have our team together in person and get a better sense of their feelings about our project. It was also great to spend some working days with Louise and learn more about her experience as part of our team.  

Our first stop was: 

Liverpool: A Cultural Hotspot 

One of our main objectives in coming to Liverpool was to create content for social media. We took the opportunity to take lots of photos and videos of our trip that we could share with our followers. We also spent a lot of time discussing content ideas with Louise so that she could help us create material for our social media pages. 

This was an invaluable experience – not only did it give us plenty of content to post, but it reinforced the importance of building relationships with our team and customers. Additionally, it offered us a chance to get creative and think outside the box when producing content for our followers.  

Brighton Street Refurbishment Project 

The next stop on our trip was Brighton Street in Liverpool, where we were able to meet up with the contractors working on our refurbishment project. It was great to be able to check on the status of the project and get an up-close look at all the hard work that was being done.  

We also had dinner with Andrew, our property sourcing agent and project manager, on the Brighton Street refurbishment project. It was a great experience for us to discuss new potential deals and get to know him better in a more relaxed setting.  

Meeting With Ben Lockett and Reece Clarke 

After we visited Brighton Street, we had the pleasure of meeting Ben Lockett and Reece Clarke from Passion Productions in Liverpool. Ben and Reece are responsible for creating our digital content for social media, and it was great to spend some time with them discussing strategies.  

We had the chance to film around Liverpool City Centre as well as an interview session at the hotel we booked for our meetings. We discussed ideas for future projects and provided feedback on current projects, which gave us a better understanding of their work and what we can expect in the future.  

Lunch With Ashley Dawn (Retford) – Fellow Property Investors 

Finally, we made our way back up north to Sheffield in Retford to meet with Ashley and Tom. We were lucky enough to be able to grab lunch together and share ideas about the property market. It was great to get a better insight into the challenges they faced as fellow property investors and hear their thoughts on some of our projects.  

Leaving behind the charming neighborhood of Retford, we then navigated our way down south to the bustling metropolis of London.  

Nick (London) – Currency Broker 

The highlight for us was meeting with Nick, a currency broker in London, where we discussed the current state of the market and where the CHF and GBP are headed. Nick was a great help in giving us insight into what to expect for our upcoming projects and some tips on how to best manage our investments. 

Caren and Antoine (London)​​​ – Private Investors​​  

We also had the pleasure of meeting with Caren and Antoine, two private investors from London. We met them at Heathrow Airport. Caren and Antoine are the faces of “The Investables”, which is an enterprise that provides advice and guidance to those looking to raise money for investment opportunities.   

We had arranged a breakfast meet-up with them at Heathrow Airport. This was the first time we were making a face-to-face acquaintance with each other. Our conversations spanned a range of topics, from “The Investables”, where our very own Daniel is a community champion – a common interest in investment opportunities, to sports, particularly our shared passion for running and our UK business.  

Wrapping Up 

As ​​day ​turned ​​​to night, we bid farewell to the vibrant city of London and embarked on our journey back to Switzerland. This trip might not have been the longest if we compare it to the one we took earlier in the year, which spanned a​n amazing​ four weeks.  

However, the shorter duration didn’t dampen our spirits nor ​did it ​restrict our ability to accomplish our mission. The people we met, ​the conversations we had, ​the ​sights we saw, and ​the ​cultures we explored have left ​​a lasting impression that will remain with us until our next visit!
